If you are going to do any craft properly you have to blog about it. This started as a blog about rag rugs, now I've moved onto dressmaking and I can feel quilts beckoning from the future.
so you have been doing this on an embroidery frame? wow. I remember my first piece, I was completely untaught, just from books. I nailed fabric onto a picture frame. it worked. I removed the nails when I needed to move it.
I started with an embroidery frame but it doesn't work at all because the rug is too bulky. I now have an octagonal rug frame which has spiky teeth round the edge to hold the piece in place, it is easy to move the piece so you can work on a different area.
